Sascha Gabizon

Sascha Gabizon, is the Executive Director of WECF Womenin Europe for a Common Future. WECF is a network of 70 women’s andenvironment organisations based in 30 countries of Europe,Eastern-Europe, Caucasus and Central Asia.
Sascha was born 1964 in Nigeria, has Dutch Nationality, and worked from1992-1995 with the Wuppertal Institute for Climate, Energy andEnvironment (WI), where she was the co-founder of the WuppertalInstitute’s "FrauenWissen" (Women's Scientists).
In 1994 Sascha was asked by WECF to join the organisation to preparethe WECF conferences during the 4th World Women's Conference in Beijingin 1995.
Since 1996, Sascha has been the director of WECF and developed thenetwork and it's activities in Western and Eastern Europe and CentralAsia. In 1999 she founded the German WECF-office, which works in closecooperation with the Netherlands WECF office, both serve as secretariatfor the network activities of WECF.
Sascha lived and worked in Spain, Netherlands, France and Germany, andthe US and has long-term project experience in Armenia, Bulgaria,Hungary, Romania, Russia, Poland, Ukraine and Uzbekistan.
