Principles (EPs) in Mizuho Corporate Bank, Ltd.(MHCB) in December 2003,
soon after MHCB adopted the EPs. Since then, he hasattended almost all
of the EPs banks meetings. He authored the Implementation Manual,and
oversaw its introduction in October 2004. The Manual comprises
Environmental Checklists covering 38 sectors based on the World Bank/IFC
Guidelines. MHCB, as a Japanese bank, has also referred to the
Environmental Guidelines of JBIC, with whom it often engages inbusiness.
He has done several site visits with environmental teams of EBRD andECAs.
