Nqaba Bucwa is an Investment Analyst at the South African fundmanagement house, Frater Asset Management. His work as a member of theFraters investment team involves conducting fundamental research oncompanies listed in the Johannesburg Securities Exchange and includesengaging in dialogue with companies that are in the Fraters portfolioon corporate governance and sustainability issues.
Fraters’ investment objectives are to maximise long-term investmentabsolute real returns for its investors whilst reducing downside riskthrough its investment philosophy. Central to this philosophy is theFraters’ principles. The Fraters principles define the key areas ofperformance which Fraters expects from companies that it invests in.These principles are as follows:

Nqaba has also worked as a communication strategist and as a conflictresolution practitioner.
As a student activist against apartheid policies in South Africa he waselected President of the South African National Students’ Congress(SANSCO), a political student organisation at the University of CapeTown. He was later elected to the National Executive Committee ofSANSCO as the Secretary for Communication and International Affairs.
