Nick Robins is Head of SRI Funds at Henderson Global Investors inLondon. At Henderson, he is responsible for co-ordinating the fundmanagement and research functions for Henderson’s £1 billionrange of SRI funds for individual and institutional investors. He isalso responsible for Henderson’s work on climate change, producing itsCarbon 100 report and How Green is My Portfolio? reports in associationwith Trucost in June 2005. In addition, he leads the public policyworkstream of the Institutional Investors Group on Climate Change(IIGCC). Nick joined Henderson as Head of SRI Research in December 2000 withover a decade's experience with the sustainable development andcorporate responsibility agenda. He has authored a number of reportsand his articles have appeared in a range of journals, includingEnvironmental Finance, Green Futures, New Scientist and Resurgence.Prior to Henderson, Nick spent seven years with the InternationalInstitute for Environment and Development, where he worked as Directorof the Sustainable Markets Group. During his time at IIED, he focusedhis work on issues of global corporate responsibility and sustainabletrade. In addition, he acted as an adviser to a range of governmentbodies, including the Departments for the Environment and InternationalDevelopment (DFID) in the UK, the Norwegian Ministry of theEnvironment, the OECD’s Environment Directorate, UNEP and UNIDO. Priorto IIED, Nick was a special adviser to the EC’s Environment Directorateworking on the preparations and follow-up to the 1992 Earth Summit, andcontributed chapters on strategy and innovation to the Business Councilfor Sustainable Development’s landmark report, Changing Course. Hestarted his professional career at the Economist Intelligence Unit,where he edited a weekly newsletter, ‘Business Europe’ and authored aspecial report in 1990, Managing the Environment: the Greening ofEuropean Business. He has a BA in History (First Class) from CambridgeUniversity, and a MSc in International Relations (Distinction) from theLondon School of Economics.
