Marinus Sikkel
Chair OECD Comm.on Int. Investment and MNEs - EZ Ministerie van Economische Zaken
Marinus Sikkel (1950) is head of the International Investment Policy unit of the Netherlands ministry of Economic Affairs.
He studied at the Erasmus University of Rotterdam, which awarded him a Masters\' Degree in Economic Science. After his study he joined the Government service, where he first worked for the ministry of Housing and the ministry of Finance. From 1983 he held various management positions in the ministry of Economic Affairs, all in the field of international economic relations.
Since 1994 he chairs the delegation of the Netherlands to the Committee on International Investment and Multinational Enterprises (CIME) of the OECD. From 1999-2001 he chaired the working party on the guidelines of that Committee. During that time the successful review of the Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises was completed. In April 2001 the CIME elected him to be its chairman.
