Born in 1946 Hans-Peter Meurer was trained in physics andmaterial science. He received a Diploma and a PhD from the TechnicalUniversity of Aachen (Aix-la-Chapelle), Germany. After nearly 16 yearsbeing engaged in materials development and quality management foradvanced nuclear reactors, space and other high technology componentshe joined RWE group in 1994.
At RWE Hans-Peter Meurer built up the coordination of a Group wideenvironmental management which recently has been expanded to a Groupwide Corporate Responsibility management. In parallel Hans-Peter Meureris the project leader for the publication of the bi-annual CRreport of RWE.
