George is the founder and Chairman of FE Clean Energy Group and hasspent the past ten years originating and closing direct equityinvestments in electric, gas, water and telecommunications utilities inemerging markets throughout the world. He has formed investment partnerships that successfully invested in electricdistribution companies in Peru, Argentina and Brazil. Hehas also been instrumental in the formation and funding of partnershipsinvesting in Gazprom, the large Russian gas distribution company,Teplarney Brno, a Czech steam heating company, Odessablenergo theelectric distribution company serving the city of Odessa in theUkraine, Optima Energia, a Mexican energy service company, and APPL, anIndian hydroelectric plant operator.

George has successfully formed five private equity funds totaling0mm having as their investment focus investments in energyefficiency and renewable energy, and the purchase of electric and otherutilities in emerging markets. George pioneered the strategy ofteaming strategic investors with financial investors in a fund formatin order to utilize the technical expertise from strategic investors toinsure a higher degree of management and monitoring control of energyproject investments. Select investors in consortia and/or fundsorganized by George include CMS Energy, Dexia Bank, the European Bankfor Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), the Asian DevelopmentBank, Electricite de France, ABB, Baltimore Gas and Electric,Chubu Electric and Mitsubishi Corporation.

George has extensive experience in the development of utility businessplans that use a combination of product loss reduction and systemimprovement, as their primary source of cash flow enhancement. Hehas also spent significant time in developing business methodologies toderive carbon credits from smaller renewable projects using alternativefuels such as wind and biomass.
Before founding FondElec in 1992, George spent more than twelve yearsas the head of international high yield capital markets in the Far Eastfor Drexel Burnham Lambert, and afterwards Bear Stearns. Hisactivities while at those companies included sales oversight, privatedebt and equity placements, partnership originations, capital marketgroup oversight, and investment banking activities related to debtinstrument structuring for Asian investors.
George has a B.A. in Finance from the University of Utah, and an M.A.from the American Graduate School of International Management(Thunderbird) in Glendale, Arizona. He is fluent in Japanese.
