FrankGrozel was the Co-ordinator of UNCTAD's Microfinance Programme (UnitedNations Conference on Trade and Development) for 8 years. Thisprogramme was instrumental in the creation of the first commercial fundinvesting in microfinance, the Dexia Microcredit Fund (1998), and inthe creation of the MixMarket (2001), a virtual market for microfinanceinstitutions and investors in microfinance (www.mixmarket.org). He nowworks with a group of microfinance practitioners ("the Equals Group"),on the creation of a new private equity fund in microfinance, theCatalyst Fund.
