Flavio Weizenmann
Head of Micro-Credit - Banco ABN AMRO REAL-BRAZIL
Flavio José Weizenmann, born in Rio Grande do Sul,Brazil, has been a director of Banco ABN AMRO Real S.A.for seven years; his backgound is in Risk Management being a member of Credit Committees in his bank. Flavio is presently the Head and General Manager of his bank\'s initiative in Microcredit, having led it since the planning and implementation phase.
Graduated in Accounting from the State University of Rio Grande do Sul he also holds a degree in Finance from IBMEC.. His career in banking includes positions held at BankBoston, Bank of America, Bankers Trust, Banco Sul América, ING Bank, Dresdner Bank e ABN AMRO.
Since the beginning of the Microcredit Project, in mid-2001, has participated in seminars and congresses relating to Microredit, including visits to microfinance operations in various countries with the purpose of gathering knowledge to be applied in ABN AMRO\'s microcredit initiative.
His leadership was key in setting up a successful partnership between Banco ABN AMRO Real and ACCIÓN International to develop and implement the first Microcredit project in Brazil, run by an international bank.
