15 years experience in project and acquisition finance, both as a financial adviser and arranger of structured finance transactions. Global Head of Energy in the Project Finance Department of Dexia Crédit Local since March 2001, in charge of structured finance for the Power, Renewable Energies, and Oil & Gas sectors. Initiated both the Oil & Gas and Renewable Energies financing activities within Dexia. From 1996 to 2001, Principal Banker in the Power and Energy Utilities Team at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD). Worked as arranger on a number of transactions in Poland, Hungary, Croatia, Romania, Slovakia, Russia, Ukraine and Kyrgyzstan, and advised the Governments of Romania and Kyrgyzstan on energy sector privatisation. Previously (1992 – 1996) vice president in the Oil & Gas group of Crédit Lyonnais’s project finance department. Advisory roles for projects in Colombia, the Congo, and Kazakhstan, and lead arranging roles in Colombia, Gabon, the Congo, Qatar. From 1989 to 1991, head of fixed income origination for southern Europe in the International Capital Markets Division of Crédit Lyonnais. From 1985 to 1988, General Manager of Presint, a financial advisory affiliate of Crédit Lyonnais in Mexico active in debt-to-equiy swaps and acquistions. From 1983 to 1985, economist for a French professional organization of the food and agricultural cooperative sector.
Graduate from the Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Paris, MSc in Economics (Paris University), MA in history (Paris Sorbonne).
