Eugene Ellmen is Executive Director of the Social Investment Organization. He is one of Canada's foremost experts on socially responsible investment.

He has written the critically acclaimed Canadian Ethical Money Guide, updated through five editions.

He is a former business journalist with Canadian Press, communications advisor with the Ontario government and public affairs consultant. He is also a frequent speaker and commentator on social investment.

His volunteer activities include the field of community investment where he sat on the founding committee of the Access Riverdale Community Loan Fund in Toronto.

He is married with two children and lives in Toronto.

The Social Investment Organization is a national membership-based, non-profit organization with a mandate to advance socially responsible investment in Canada.
