I left my professional career with the Asian Development Bank (ADB) atmy 60th birthday, 19 October 2004, as it was the compulsory retirementage. I had worked as a lawyer in the Office of the General Counsel(OGC), until January 2003 since I joined ADB in January 1978,, handlingan entire spectrum of legal matters ranging from the organization,structure, administration of ADB through its policies and operations tothe preparation or review of documents affecting the rights andobligations of ADB. I gained the widest possible range of experience asa lawyer in ADB. In January 2003 I left OGC and undertook a specialproject as Special Advisor to the President.
