Since 2004 David Plattner has served as Founder and Chief VisionaryOfficer of RainTrust, an international company that is dedicated to thepreservation and conservation of ranforests worldwide. As such, he hasdevised numerous financial instruments and businesses that areassisting the rainforest towards becoming "sustainable." To accomplishthis goal, over the past year, he has actively been buying large tractsof rainforest properties in the Brazilian Amazon as well as workingwith international NGO's and establishing various businesses. RainTrusthas also been also developing the “demand” side andhas established multiple distribution channels and marketingrelationships. RainTrust currently controls the extractive reserves andhas direct ownership of several million acres of property making thisone of the largest privately owned initiatives in the Amazon.
Since 1990 David Plattner served as Founder and C.E.O. ofOriginal Ventures Inc. (OVI) where he became internationally known forhis unique real estate development projects and innovative marketingapproaches to “repurposing the urban landscape.” OVI has been involvedin the development of over 50 million square feet of entertainment andleisure oriented real estate properties internationally and hasdeveloped over 2 dozen proprietary attractions or technologies.
