David has accumulated over 20 years experience in the fields of international capital markets, fund management, financial engineering and securitization. His career has taken him to New York and London where, as Vice President and Director, he developed and managed the international fixed income sales team for BMO Nesbitt Burns. During his 13 years at the helm, offices were opened in Hong Kong, Singapore and Beijing. In 1999, he returned to his native Montreal to found Cordiant, a unique emerging market asset manager. Since the launch of its first fund in 2001, Cordiant has invested in over 100 private sector projects and enterprises in over 40 emerging countries. All of Cordiant's investments are screened and monitored for their sustainability, social responsibility and good governance.
David is a director of Cordiant, AC Water Canada, and the Canada / South Africa Chamber. He is Chairman of the Investment Committee for the BCS Foundation, a fellow of the Royal Geographic Society and he travels extensively.
