David Brunell

David Brunell's 45 year career has included incarnations in international development, economic reform and restructuring, privatization, management consulting, investment banking, business and social entrepreneurship, government and politics, and business education. He has lived the last 14 years in Vietnam and Africa, with previous consulting assignments in Eastern Europe, Africa, Philippines, and former Soviet states.

Currently he is managing all of the US Agency for International Development's economic growth initiatives in Vietnam -- spanning a range of sectors including comprehensive economic policy/legal reform, trade and investment, financial markets, telecom, agribusiness, economic governance and business competitiveness, infrastructure finance, regulatory reform, and public/private partnerships.

Born in America, he graduated from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Chemical Engineering, received an MBA from Harvard Business School, is married and raised two sons in Africa and Vietnam; and is an enthusiastic advocate of public/private collaboration for sustainable economics and investment in a globalizing world.
