Since february 2000: in charge of the scientific project management of the Allianz Group strategy ?sustainable development" and Head of the Allianz Group Sustainability Office.

From 1994 to 1996: post-doctorate grantholder and from 1997 to 2000 scientific officer at the Institute for Technological Prospective Studies of the Joint Research Center (JRC) of the European Commission in Sevilla, Spain: in charge of policy advice on the analysis of political, technological and economic options for the reduction of greenhouse gases on the mandate of the European Parliament and the European Commission. Working in and co-ordinating selected international projects and strategies: - Environment and security - Risk management of the european water industry - Environment and health (as temporary advisor to the WHO) - Co-operation with the Forum "the Finance sector and Environment" of the British Eco-nomic and Social Research Committee (ESRC)

From 1990 to 1993: PhD study at the Institute for Ecological Chemistry (German Joint Research Center for Environment and Health (GSF)), Munich, on the research topic of the impact of climate change on ecosystems. From 1982 to 1988: University study Geology/Paleontology at the Ludwigs-Maximilians-University in Munich including several industrial internships such as with Law Testing Engineering Company, subsidiary of Price Waterhouse Coopers.
