Alexander has 9 years of experience in venture capital and started in 1999 at Triodos with the goal to build up a venture capital fund and business for Triodos. In 2001 the Triodos Venture Capital Fund was launched which invests since then in renewable energy, organic food and environmental businesses. The current portfolio consists out of 12 investments in various European countries. Out of those 5 investments are in the sector organic food, which is a special focus sector of the Triodos venture capital team. Before 1999 he was managing director of a investment banking boutique in Stuttgart, Germany. After his study of economics at University of Hagen with a focus on banking, marketing and strategic planning he joined Deutsche Bank AG, Filial Stuttgart, as a trainee and focused there on commercial banking and financial controlling. During his study Alexander worked for Hewlett-Packard, Boeblingen. Alexander is married, has three children and lives Zeist, Netherlands.
