Secretary General
The International
Interfaith Investment Group (3iG), founded in 2004, provides the worldÕs Faiths
with a reliable and creative vehicle that enables them and their members to
harness the economic power of their assets, including shares, land, properties,
water resources, and intellectual properties to support and promote programs,
policies and practices that are consonant with their shared values and beliefs.
ROLE OF THE GENERAL
SECRETARY
The Secretary General works
with the Board in driving the direction of the organization and is responsible
for making sure that 3iG develops and delivers a world class offering of
products and services that allows it to build and create value for an amazing
group of faith investment groups.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Launches a major new
faith-based initiative.
Articulates faith and
ethical perspectives in socially responsible investment.

Acts as principal
spokesperson for 3iG
Develops and facilitates
institutional growth.
á
Attracts and
identifies potential faith partners to participate in 3iG.
á
Identifies and
facilitates the formation of clusters around social issues.
á
Works with 3iG
constituencies to develop best practices in socially responsible investing.
á
Develops 3iG products
and services offering.
Implements 3iG
organizational policies.
á
Assists Steering
Committee transition into Governing Board
á
Serves ex-officio on
Governing Board and Governing Board Committees
á
Works with the
Advisory Committee in its support of 3iG activities
Directs and oversees
administrative affairs and programs of the organization
á
Oversee hiring,
supervision, and evaluation of staff
á
Prepares and
administers budget
á
Develops and maintains
administrative policies and procedures
REQUIREMENTS
á
Demonstrates knowledge
of different faith traditions and comfortable with people of faith
á
Experience with
start-up organizations
á
Experience in
administration
á
Ability to manage
diversity
á
Ability to build and
manage coalitions
á
Knowledge of or
involvement in socially responsible investment movement
á
Proficiency in
financial management
á
Strategic thinker
á
Dynamic
á
Ability to raise funds
á
Excellent
communication skills (written and verbal and interpersonal)

Computer proficiency
(Microsoft Office suite and other database programs and Internet search
techniques are mandatory)
á
Willingness and
ability to travel

Fluent in English
