The goal of Diligent is to become the largest sustainable oil supplier of Tanzania. The vision of Diligent is that this is only possible if you work with outgrowers. Diligent is building an nework of outgrowers all over the country. Diligent constantly puts a lot of effort in researching all aspects of the cultivation and processing of Jatropha. All Diligent branches are working closely together; Diligent Energy Systems, Diligent Tanzania and Diligent Colombia – which specializes in producing ethanol from agricultural wastes.
Diligent Energy Systems is also co-founder and board member of the FACT fuels foundation (Fuels from Agriculture in Communal Technology), established to support Jatropha research projects worldwide and distribute the knowledge and lessons learned from these. 2) In 2006 and 2007, Morgan Stanley arranged and placed USD 210 million equivalent of capital markets funding to 33 Microfinance Institutions (MFIs) in 15 countries and in 7 currencies.
